Public Address: MUSIC OF THE 1990s

If you were a child or teenager in the 90s or older but vividly recall the period, then you know how astonishing that era was. From the music to the fashion and even the slang, everything about the 90s was amazing. One of the most memorable aspects of the 90s was the quotes and sayings that came out of that time. Whether it was from a film, TV show, or song, there were so many catchphrases that became a part of our everyday language. Some of the most famous 90s quotes came from films like “Forrest Gump” and “The Lion King.” Who can forget Forrest’s famous line, “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.” Or the wise words of Rafiki, “The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it.”

These quotes have become so ingrained in our culture that even people who weren’t alive in the 90s know them. But it wasn’t just cinema that gave us memorable quotes in the 90s. TV shows also had their fair share of iconic lines. From “Yada, yada, yada” to “How you doin’?”, these quotes have become synonymous with the 90s and are still used today.
